Invitationals!

Subject: Invitationals! Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:26 pm

Today we were all flying out to LA to take part in invitationals. I was sat on the plane next to Sam and Becca. I was in the middle staring at a book I wasn't reading. The pilot spoke then, pulling everyones attention to the speakers. "Thank you for flying with Virgin air... We will be landing in approximately 30 minutes" I sighed and put my book down.

When I heard the captain over the quiet song in my headphones, I pulled them out to listen. I smiled when he said we'd be landing in thirty minutes. I packed up my stuff, leaving one headphone in.

"That flight went quick" I murmured under my breath as I turned to Sam. "Can you get my bag from the over-head compartment?" I asked him. "Sure" he answered and smiled that smile that made your breath catch. He stood up and pulled my black bag down. I slipped my book in and my ipod I had stopped listening to. I pulled my phone out to check the time. 12:01. I couldn't wait to check in at the hotel. I put my phone in and zipped up my bag. I pushed it under my chair and pushed the tray table into the little clasp on the seat in front of me. I slipped my cardigan back on.

I was wearing a light yellow dress and a white cardigan with white ballet flats. My hair was down in loose curls and my fringe was braided back like I usually had it when it was down. I had my charm bracelet on and my cross necklace I always wore.

It had been ages since my exchange trip had ended. When I'd left all my American mates behind, and when Becca had given me the braclet I was wearing now. On my flight back from Itay to America. I had been thinking about the emacipation thing while I was in Italy and that was when I took their advice. I now had a legal document that said my parents weren't aloud to contact me & I got 25% of their earnings. I'd used my first payment to buy the earlist ticket I could to America. So, I wished my brother goodbye & now here I was. About 1 hour from landing in the airport. I had promised I'd watch New Directions at invitationals & I never broke a promise.

It was pretty quiet in our little group of misfits after the Captain spoke. Everyone was packing up their things or waking up their friends. I slid my iPod into my pocket, keeping one headphone in. I never went anywhere without it.

I gave Quinn the other headphone, In My Head by Jason Derulo was just starting. I smiled.

I smiled when I recognized what song. I started singing it quietly and soon had all the other glee clubbers singing it too without the music.

I was half asleep when the pilot announced where we were. I sighed, we'd just reached America. I checked my watch Shit! I thought to myself. Invitationals started in an hour and i had 30 minutes left on the plan then had to get on a train from San Diego to Los Angles

I laughed when the whole glee club started singing Jason Derulo acappella.

I sang the parts where the glee club sung. When everything quieted down I pulled my phone out and clicked on to the time warp. I put the volume on low and held it up and soon had everyone doing the time warp. Even the other passengers who didn't know who we were.

I wondered what the others were doing right now. I'd missed them so much, they were like the family I never actually had.

I laughed when Quinn turned on Time Warp. I stuffed my earphones into my pocket and turned off my iPod. I sang along.

"Please can you return your seats to their upright positions. Please store all hand luggage either under your seat or in the over head compartments. We will be starting our decent into Los Angles airport now." The pilot said and I switched the time warp off and heard everyone shuffling about and putting their seat belts on as the light blinked on.

I fell asleep in my chair. I hadn't slept since the day I got emancipated. So I was soooooo tired.

I sat back properly in my seat and did my seatbelt again. Just like we did for takeoff. "It's time." I murmured.

I heard Noah say; "I can't wait to hit the bar." I rolled my eyes but laughed.

I rolled my eyes at Puck, "You would!" I answered him. He was sat behind us directly behind Becca, I felt sorry for her.

I was awoken by the person next to mee shaking my shoulders & saying "We've got half an hour left, I'd wake up if I were you." I sighed, pushing myself back into my casual sitting position and shoving my ipod into my pocket.

I laughed when Quinn answered Noah. Something landed in my lap and I noticed it was a ball of paper. I threw it back at Noah. Of course, he'd thrown it. "Don't be childish, Noah." I laughed.

I laughed with Becca. I hadn't noticed how far to the ground we were. "Ooh! We are going to land now." I held my breath for the little bump that we would all get from touching down. This wasn't the first time I had flown but it always made me excited.

When Noah threw the paper back, I sighed and shoved it into my pocket. I looked across the airplane out of a window, watching surroundings getting closer.

I was sitting between Brittany and Santana for the whole journey. Sam was with his girlfriend, Mike with his and Finn with Rachel. When Becca didn't throw the paper back, I looked around, kinda bored.

When the bump came and we stopped at the gate everyone stood up. Brittany looked like she might pee herself she was that excited. We filed out of the airplane and along the tube thing. When we reached arrivals, I checked the time and pulled my phone out of my bag. I text my mom to say we had just landed. I slipped it into my pocket and looked up.
