Cafe La Boheme (New Directions, Dalton)

I watched the bottle, my head moving like a child's would while watching something spin.

I didn't realise that the bottle was pointing to me for a few seconds. Oh. Awwwkwaaaaard. I glanced at Quinn then Sam and back to Quinn.

I met Sam's eyes for a second, glanced briefly at Quinn then pressed my lips to Sam's quickly.

I told myself that when it was Quinn's turn, I'd make a distraction so she could turn the bottle to Sam. Now, to think of the distraction. I realised it was my turn to spin the bottle so i reached into the center of the circle and spun the bottle.

I watched as becca spun the bottle. Sam moved closer to me so I let him. I shouldn't be mad at him because he was probably as drunk as me.

I watched as Fate landed one more blow on me as the bottle came slowly to a stop pointing at Noah. Noah. The one person who I would reeeeeaaaally regret kissing. Like, seriously.

(don't blame me, by the way, for this evil ness. blame our beloved quinn.)

Even with the level of alcohol in his system, Noah still seemed to have hate in his eyes. Or maybe I was just imagining that. Probably. Maybe not. Probably not. I bit my lip and glanced to my left at Blaine then to my right at Quinn. I took a deep breath and leaned across the circle, meeting Noah's lips in the middle.

My plans for it to be a two-second kiss were scuppered as soon as our lips met. One of my hands raised to cup his face and the kiss deepened intensely until eventually, Noah broke it off and again, the waves of rejection almost killed me again. I sat back and so did Noah.

Sam was just happy Quinn was still talking to him. After kissing her teammate and her best friend, it wasn't looking good. But he smiled at his girlfriend and nodded. "Locker room "banter" has sucked since Becca came to the school." He whispered.

As Noah spun the bottle, I felt relieved that my turn was over; I wouldn't have to kiss Noah anymore. At all. Ever. Okay, so relieved wasn't really the word. More like... sad? depressed? not that I wouldn't be kissing him again, but the fact that after tonight, he'd probably never talk to me again. Well, at least I could understand. I mean, he's practically co-captain of the football team and what was I? Just a glee loser. I mean, Jade was on the Cheerios and what did I do? Sung showtunes in the dark.

I wanted to leave, go back to my room, go to sleep and forget all about what happened throughout today. But I couldn't. Because I had to stay here, with my friends.

The bottle slowly stopped, on Quinn. Noah only seemed too willing to get me off his mouth. My eyes moved slowly to Quinn then back to Noah then away from both of them, all of them. I folded my hands in my lap, hiding the fact they were both clenched into fists. The thought of him kissing anyone killed me but kissing my best friend was even worse. I knew it wasn't their fault. Not Quinn's fault. Of course I wouldn't blame her; she forgave me for kissing Sam. I think?

When Quinn didn't immediately move to kiss Noah, I looked at her again. "Q, what's wrong?" I asked quietly.

It took me a while because of the alcohol in my system to figure out what she meant. When I did, I sounded a very loud 'Ohhhhhh'. Noah got up and leaned across the circle.

I looked down at my hands when Quinn leaned into the circle. No matter how much it would never happen, no matter how much it shouldn't bother me, I couldn't watch.
