The RollerRace (OPEN)

It was the day of the skating race between me and Noah. I leaned against a wall and pulled my skates out of my bag, laughing. I might just wear these all day. I changed my shoes, stowing my sneakers in my bag. I slid around the corner and saw Noah coming this way on his skates, too. I laughed, seeing some people following him.
"Been practicing Noah?" I laughed.

I was sat with Sam by the wall. We were sat watching Puck and Becca roller-race today. Most of the school was here actually.

I didn't give Noah a chance to answer. I skated over to Quinn and Sam. "Hey guys."

When Becca skated over I smiled. "Hey, Becca" I said and then Sam said, "Hello"

"H-" My question was cut off by Noah coming toward us on his skates. I tried to move out of his way but ended up falling backwards. he tripped over me and went flying. Apart from the pain in my side where Noah's skates had hit, I was laughing my ass off. So was he - He wasn't in pain, apparently.

I ran into the roller arena in a daze. I ooked round for Becca, in a bit of a panic. I looked a mess, I was planning on staying home. My sweats, ugh.

I sat up, ignoring the obvious bruise I was gonna get. I knew there was no chance I could stand up in these things. "You're dead, Puckerman." I shouted.

I laughed at Becca and Puck's Collision. I felt Sam's laughter next to me too.

Did I interupt, Did I not, was I in too much of a panic. "Becca!" I called.

I got up slowly, making sure the wheels on the skates didn't move. I was triumphant when I managed it. I skated over to Noah and outstretched a hand to help him up. I tried to plant my feet so he couldn't knock me over on purpose.
I turned when I heard Jade. I almost fell again but regained my balance. "What is it? What's wrong?" I asked.

"It's the slut, it's been going on a while and she's moving in, come on." I rushed out the words impatiently.

"As in the slut? The one we thought we'd scared off?" I asked, my jaw dropping. I helped Noah up and tried walking quickly to Jade before realising I was wearing my skates. I pulled one off and hopped as I pulled the other one off. I ran with no shoes on.

"Yes we have to get home but first you'll need your shoes." I pointed to her feet.

I laughed, dumping my skates and pulling on my sneakers. "Come on, let's go!"

I laughed. "Don't you wana finish your date?" I asked watching poor puck getting ditched.

I rolled my eyes and hit Jade's arm. "Shutup." I muttered quietly. "This ain't over, Puckerman. Rescheguled for tomorrow!" I called walking quickly so Jade couldn't embarrass me further and so that we could get home.

I laughed and dragged her outside. "I ran here so we gotta hurry up if we want to catch them!" I ran ahead.

"Man, I should've left my skates on." I laughed, starting to run with her.

I laughed. "No time for jokes, we need to think, think and run." I said worry in my tone.

"Bye guys!" I called and started running as fast as possible.

I rounded the corner and the house came into view, there they were, her car in the druve, unloading boxes.

I paused as we rounded the corner; I couldn't believe he was actually moving her in! I started running again. I slowed as I got closer to the house.

"Who are you, like really?" I asked the girl quite rudely, losing my patience with Dad.

I held back a laugh when Jade spoke. But, this wasn't a time for laughing. Seriously, we'd met her once and we didn't even know her name!

"Well, Lorna, I'd like to know what it is you think your doing." I folded my arms across my chest and spoke in a very serious manner.
